GENERAL SURGERY

The department of General Surgery is undertaking extensive teaching & training for III BDS students through lectures, clinics, seminars, case presentation & learning, operative skills in operation theatre. Students are trained to focus the diseases related to head & neck region are  given due importance, at the same time other relevant surgical problems are also be addressed. Emphasis is laid on the clinical approach to the patient’s disease as a whole and the different modalities of surgical treatment. General Surgery department works in association with various dental specialties specially Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department to manage various Maxillofacial Injuries and Complex Cancer Surgeries.

Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences has a MoU with Indira Gandhi Co-Operative  Hospital, A Unit of Mambaram Co-Operative Hospital Society Ltd No. C 952 which is 350 bedded Super Speciality hospital with most modern and advanced health care services, highly qualified and experienced doctors and well trained and dedicated paramedical staffs to support.
